it is unwise to love due to necessity, but necessity born from love… is altogether different.

We love to dream. But if we don’t wake up, somebody ends up pulling the plug.

that which we do not understand is easy to dismiss as being below us.

this is where slavery, discrimination, objectification, marginalisation and oppression comes from.

when there is something we do not understand but believe is above us, we react a little differently.

this is where religion, science and mythology come in.

but when we see something that is on equal ground with us, unless we consciously think about it, we will usually drag them below us.

this is called hubris, and it is where the conflicts of the world emerge from.

equality is a fabrication of the altruistic mind. survival, as it has always been, was never a fair system. the element of competition for a place in this world for superiority is a theme that time has engraved on every imaginable form of life.

power, perception, advantage.

life is a measurement of how superior one can become, although superiority does not mean oppression. it is an equivalent term for ‘highly successful’.

and success comes in two forms, those that are directly competitive: e.g. those that generate antagonism from rivals, and those indirectly competitive: e.g. those that gather support and popularity from others, which allows them to elevate themselves through rapport and general consensus on their success.

a crowd supporting one successful person is the true form of superiority. a crowd rallying against one successful person is not a form of superiority.

one stands firm, the other stands uncertainly.

what is the intention for your actions? and why is it that when these are revealed versus if they are left concealed that people have radically different reactions to you?

why does changing the perceived intention of your actions and administering this to a group, in turn, also changes their actions ?

why has good and evil become such
blurred, antiquated concepts? do we now have a greater understanding of intention versus execution, or are we actually progressively becoming a more understanding people as a whole?

time flies.

taboo

imagine for a moment that in order to kill another human being all one had to do was press a ‘delete’ button on one’s phone. imagine if there were no social repercussions for doing so, and no negative direct consequences. imagine it was someone you didn’t care for.

would you do it if you were angry? would you bat an eyelid?
would you regret it afterwards?

do we slink away from such action because of years of civilisation and ingrained context, the fear of consequence and the difficulty of achieving such a thing?

then if you say no, how do you watch it daily, and how do you play games that recreate it?

calibre

I cannot deny that calibre is indeed something he possessed exceedingly; eloquently practised from the beginning until the end.

At least I know now that they exist.

I wish to meet someone like this again.

musings

an injured bird always tries to fly again.

that’s the thing with birds, they’ll always succeed.

but us, we always ask, ‘why can’t we fly?’
